Wither is a display typeface offering six weight variations that capture the organic process of decay. Inspired by the alluring but grotesque forms found in nature, such as fungi and creepers, the font utilizes organic curves and delicate negative space lines as its foundational elements. Each variation with its decreasing weight mirrors the gradual withering of form with time.
The foundations of the typeface are rooted in studying the organic forms of flora and fauna, including the intriguing but grotesque forms of fungi and creepers. The typeface integrates the concept of decay, employing delicate negative spaces to add details and depth in each character
Inspired by the concept of decay and withering, I crafted five additional variations with decreasing weight, each echoing the gradual progression of time. All six styles maintain a cohesive framework, offering versatility in application based on weight and level of detail.
The crumbling tone of the display font perfectly complements organic and earthy designs, ideal for cultural themes of usage, traces, decay and passage of time.
