The user manual was designed as one of the artifacts for a larger design fiction (speculative design) project. To explore and reflect upon the notion of home and one plausible future scenario, I visualized a post-apocalyptic dystopian future scenario wherein home was represented through a survival backpack as the physical location had been destroyed.

The manual served as a way to visualize and make the audience reflect upon the different components of the idea and how it may look in the future. The project was aimed at making the audience introspect about the important qualities in their homes, realize that home is more about the personal intrinsic qualities and material physicality and luxury to in turn reflect about the race for monetary wealth and also tie in the issue of climate change.
