This package redesign project aims to raise awareness on the suffering of the animals in the factory farm model, the impact on the climate, and the nutritional comparison to the original animal products, by creating graphic elements for the labels and packaging of plant-based meat alternatives.
Infographic of Suffering
To raise awareness about the suffering of animals at the factory farm and appeal to the emotions of people
Sustainability Scale
To emphasize the environmental impact of our diet in terms of the carbon footprint of different products
Nutrition Comparison
To break the common misconception that plant-based alternatives can not keep up with the nutrition from animal sources
These elements are incorporated into the labels on the packaging of existing products that produce plant-based alternatives to dairy, chicken, egg, pork and beef products, as they are available in the market today.
I recognized that most of the existing packaging is unsustainable and not eco-friendly since it uses plastic. The next step focuses on redesigning the packaging, replacing most of the plastic for more biodegradable or durable (i.e., reusable) materials.
